Well-child checkups in Clermont

A checkup is the visit where nothing is wrong, and that is why it matters. We measure growth, check development and leave time for your questions.

Babies come in often in the first two years: at 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 and 24 months, then at 30 months. From age 3, a checkup once a year is enough for most children.

We measure height and weight, check vision and hearing when they are due, and ask about sleep, eating, school and behavior. We give any vaccines that are due on the American Academy of Pediatrics schedule.

Teens get a few minutes alone with the doctor or nurse practitioner at each yearly visit, so they can ask what they would not ask in front of a parent.

Questions about well-child checkups

Will my child get shots at the checkup?

If any are due on the American Academy of Pediatrics schedule, yes. We will tell you which ones before the visit and answer your questions first.

Can you fill in school and camp forms?

Yes. Bring them to the checkup and we will fill them in at the visit. Between visits, call the front desk and allow a few business days.
